Alisha makes abstract paintings, photos and concept drawings. As a self taught artist she approaches a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way, always seeking to expand her abilities through constant experimentation, using the energies of her surroundings and its emotional and spiritual vibrations as an important part of her creation process.
Since a very young age Alisha has used charcoals/pastels and drawing/coloring sacred geometry as a way to decompress and de-stress. With a conceptual approach, she creates work through labor-intensive processes which can be seen, in a manner of speaking, as a personal exorcism ritual, tools that she has utilized in her work with troubled and disabled clients. Inspired by crazy life experiences, a fascination with human nature, and multitudes of philosophical conversations about the universe and questions that determine our existence, she balances presenting a factual reality with an illusion fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination.
